Current Vacancies:
TRAINEE CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANT (ACCA)
We offer a comprehensive training package for trainee chartered accountants
in our general practice area of the audit business unit. Successful applicants
will receive training and practical experience in the four main compliance
areas.
Auditing
Trainee staff will be introduced to auditing and our in-house training
documentation by way of structured case study. This will consist of an
introduction to the basic elements of auditing, practicalities of obtaining
audit evidence and a general overview of the audit of a typical limited
company.
The trainees first year will consist of a combination of the audit of small companies at desk top under the guidance of a senior "mentor", and forming part of an audit team carrying out work on site for large clients.
The basics established in the first year will be developed as follows
The training sessions will concentrate on specific areas of the audit process and in particular the formation of audit conclusions on specific areas of the accounts. At the same time, the work responsibility will progress to larger assignments, culminating in leading audit teams in the third year of the training period.
Taxation
The training in the general practice will, as part of the preparation of an audit file, include responsibility for the preparation of the tax computation for each client and a draft tax return. All factors pertinent to the annual tax compliance of companies and sole traders will be included.
Accounting
Trainees will be exposed to all practical aspects of accounting for businesses ranging from books original entry to preparation of group accounts.
Company Secretarial
Trainees will prepare the annual compliance documentation and documentation regarding changes within the company for lodging with the Registrar of Companies.
